I should at least tell you what's in the below pictures, although I know its apparent that there are mountains, etc.
The first is of myself and Merilynn (my American neighbour) not too far from the summit of Mt. John, taken on Saturday. Lake Tekapo is actually that blue due to glacial silt that remains in it.
Then there is me with the lake looking overly tired.
Then there is Laura (my American flattmate--> yes there are a lot of Americans here- they're everywhere) and myself in front of Mt. Cook. Aka Mordor. I just had to reference that, sorry.

i love how your tagline is now "I have now been a resident of New Zealand for one month."
It's a lie, folks! She's on a visa, and will be expelled from said country when it expires. Resident shmresident.
Ps. Dear Fleg, I went and looked at a house yesterday with Dana and we're going to phone back tonight and say we want it. It's a little bit of a student slum but not too bad, it's just really dimly lit in the basement (where we'll be living) but that will be changed with better lightbulbs/stand alone lamps. The morale of the story: I may have somewhere to live in may! I got accepted into the mathbio 11 day conference thing I wanted to do too. Oh and there's ample floor space in the rooms for you to be a hobo and live on an air mattress if necessary. Will update when sure about house.
